Travel Plans

Fly to San Diego

Plan to arrive at San Diego International Airport at least one day before our departure date. (If possible, give yourself an extra couple of days to enjoy some of what San Diego has to offer!)

Hotel Stay

Stay where you choose, but we depart from Hampton Inn Downtown San Diego at 10am. Hampton Inn offers special rates for our trips. Check with us for details.

Bus Ride to Ensenada

The ride in our air-conditioned coach is 2 hours, plus however much time it takes to get through customs. (Usually 15-30 min.) At the border, we each fill out a customs declaration form on the bus. We then take our luggage from the bus, get our passports stamped and luggage X-rayed while the bus is inspected. Once everyone and everything is through, we continue on our journey.

Stop at 7-11 in Rosarito

Get off the bus and stretch your legs, use the clean restrooms, or load up on beer, energy drinks, and snacks before we make the rest of the drive down the coast of Baja California.

Once in Ensenada, we'll offload from the bus and get onto the boat harbored at All Saints Bay.

On the Boat

We'll be welcomed aboard and settle into our accommodations, then get a safety briefing from the Captain. Once underway, it's a 20-hour trip to the island.

Isla Guadalupe

Early the next day, we'll arrive at Isla Guadalupe. Once we anchor, the real fun begins! Three days of cage diving with great whites and getting to know new friends!

Trip Back

On the afternoon of the third day, we'll have to raise anchor and head back. From here, it's nearly everything in reverse. Twenty hours at sea, and arrival in Ensenada. We'll stop for tacos at one of the best taco stands in the city, and then take the bus ride back up the Pacific coast. Same routine at the border (this time just questions, no paperwork), and we're back in the USA. The bus will drop us back at the hotel, and other than the trip home, this year's adventure will be over.
